Every home certified as a ComfortHome has been built to meet rigorous energy-efficiency standards. ComfortHomes are built to exceed energy code, and every house receives rigorous testing to ensure efficient energy use for the homeowner.

OUR GUARANTY AND WARRANTY ARE IN WRITING

ComfortHome homes are certified to be environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, benefiting the owner with reduced en- ergy consumption and lower bills. We’ll guarantee that in writing to every ComfortHome homebuyer. We'll also guarantee that the homeowner will be comfortable in every room of their ComfortHome. There are no 'cold' spots or 'hot' spots when systems are engineered for efficiency and comfort.

EVERY COMFORTHOME MUST PASS THESE RIGOROUS PERFORMANCE TESTS:

  • Blower Door Testing - quantifies the home's leakage rates to ensure achievement of pre-construction engineering specifi- cation for energy and ventilation.
  • Calibrated Air Flow Measurement - ensures HVAC system is balanced and delivering required airflow to all rooms.
  • Duct Leak Testing - quantifies the tightness of the ductwork systems to ensure overall integrity.
  • HVAC Equipment Testing - measure equipment outputs to ensure performance to manufacturer's specifications and rating.
  • Visual Inspections - careful inspection of ductwork, duct sealing and system sizing.
  • Infrared Scanning - provides upgraded assurance of superior building performance.
